i'm officially closing my livejournal. it holds chapters of my life that are finished. some of them i like going through while others i don't want to see again. i'm not going to delete it because of the fact that i dont want to pretend these chapters didn't exist because they did.
i do post entries into a different site, i won't be sharing it with anyone, i like how it is now.

i keep missing franks calls, and its gay.
work today: sucked to the max.
got there on time and everything, nothing was my fault, it was just gay. and pain in the ass.
this lady calls around 130ish. at first i thought she was an employee in another store looking for something for a customer, but after talking to her for a few minutes, i figured out she wasnt an employee. but she says to me... she wants a medium yoga skirt in black. (i didnt even know we had skirts, all i saw were capris, and they look the same) so i ask her for the style number and she says what it is with no hesitation (this is why i thought she was an employee. she must have worked in an old navy before or at least somewhere in clothing retail) so anyway i finish with the two customers i had in front of me (i'm at register, well der) at this point im frustrated because the phone is soooo low and i cant hear shit even with the walkie turned off. so i had to ask her to repeat like everything she said. and as she was saying the style number and i'm like okay just shout it at me, seriously. and so she says it again louder. i do a merch locater and theres 4 in the store. so i go and look for it. its not about 140ish. so i go... dont see skirts at all. (i was thinking they would be on a separate rack from the capris) so i thought maybe i had the wrong number or heard her wrong. so i ask nicole if we even carried skirts and she says yeah and she walks with me over to where i just was and the skirts are mixed in with the capris.
....grr.
so then i look through them all and theres 1 small. about 5 larges, and 1 XL. i needed a medium. so amy looks in upstock for me so i can get the line down at the register that just asploded. its now about 150.
amy finds the medium, i go back to phone. tell her i found it. and she says oh well i also need a small, 2 larges, and 1 xxl. at that point; i wanted to slap her. so anyway. i go back out to find those. i grabbed the small. amy finds two larges. do a merch locater for the xxl and we dont have any. so i go back to the phone... its now about 205 or something. tell her i found every one except the xxl. so she says. oh i only need the medium now. i called a store in california and they had all of them except the medium. my jaw just dropped. i wanted to be like BITCH and just hang up. we just spent 20 minutes getting this shit for you and you are calling another store? WTF. ARGH. and we had three people doing it because we were searching everywhere because we couldnt find which booth the upstock was in. The three people being me, amy, and nicole. sooo i take the medium... i couldnt remember how to do a charge send since i'm used to doing online orders.... but now online orders they charge 5.00 shipping too. (it used to be a shipping charge only if you got it from another store) which is what i think a seriously bad move on old navys part. anyway so figured that out in about a minute. couldnt remember what section is what under. lol. so i ask amy what i need to know since ive never done a charge send before. and she says just to ask if the billing and shipping addresses are different and to choose ups as the shipper. so i get her name address and phone number... and i ask her how shes paying (like which credit card) and she says by old navy card. oh and i also have a 5 dollar bucks back coupon. i was like oh okay... and i ask amy if theres anyway to save the information i just put in... and she says no. so i had to back out of everything. redo it from the beginning and i ask the lady to give the coupon to the cashier. and she says what? i say you are calling from a store right? and she says no i'm at home. and i say well then you cant use the coupon because it wont be on file. so she gets all pissy about that. and says "well the store in california didnt have a problem with it" so ummm she used the same coupon there. 50 dollars she was gonna use the same coupon for our store. were not stupid. and i ask amy if theres any other way and she says no and i'm just like um sorry but if i do it anyway well get in trouble because the coupon wont be on file and it will look like we just gave a discount to someone when we werent supposed to and ill get in trouble. so she says oh dont want you to get in trouble (oh gee thanks lady)so then i re- enter her info again
its now about 225.
soo... i get to the shipping again. choose ups. 5.oo shipping...
get to credit card number again... start typing it in. and she says how long will it take to get here? and i 5 - 10 days. and she says i need it by wednesday.
......
she asks if she can get express shipping and i say well... i think so but it will cost more. so i call over amy again and ask her. and she says ups is the only company that comes here.... so nicole and amy get out the book (its like a binder full of all the rules and stuff) and look it up. i say that fed ex is an option to use to ship on the register in the drop down list. and in the book it says yeah fex ex can be used to ship express. ups doesnt offer it.... but fed ex doesnt come to the mall. so amy wasnt sure of what to do. so i say we can call fed ex and arrange a pick up probably. so amy says yeah and were thinking about it and flipping through the book. so like 5 minutes later amy decides that yeah since its in the book shell call fed ex. so i explain this to the lady and she says you only have one shipping service? and i'm like yeah ups is the service for the whole mall. so she says wait where am i calling again? (JAW DROP) and i say uhh the old navy in salmon run mall in watertown. and she says oh. and i say i think the mall is the one who chose the shipping service but i'm not sure, but were going to call fed ex and see if we can arrange a pick up time for fed ex express. so we cant find number in phone book so nicole goes in the back and finds it on a box i think. so amy calls and sets it up. i tell the lady we are calling fed ex right now... etc. its now about 245. so amy sets up the pick up thing for fed ex. she tells me the skirt should arrive on monday between 9 am and 5. so i tell the lady that. the lady asks how much it was and i say 7.50 (were going by the book thing for the price because fed ex didnt tell us) so i am almost finished, i just needed her credit card number again because i had to back out the first time to put in that coupon but i hadnt asked her for it yet again since i wasnt sure if she would still want the skirt if we couldnt get fed ex to pick it up... so i open my mouth to ask her for her number and she says... oh well i dont need the skirt til wednesday so can i change the shipping? and i'm like...uh... what? and she says can i change the shipping to get it on wednesday. and this is where i lost it. lol. i say lady, this is the cheapest form of express that i have and its only 2.50 more then what it is normally. (7.50 not 5.oo) and it comes within 2-3 days, 3 days being wednesday but since you're only a couple hours away they said they could it to you by monday. and i'm like whats your credit card number. i seriously just did not want to hear this bitches voice again. so i enter it through and get the like 4 receipts it prints out. a store copy, her copy, a gift receipt (auto prints out with charge sends) and a survey which i threw away. so i put the customer on hole because i wasnt sure what to do with the store receipt (like where to put it, etc.) to ask amy but shes busy so i had to wait like 3 minutes and then amy is ready so i ask her and she says to just staple it together and put it in the black folder thing where put the coupons and stuff. so i do that and i pick up the phone again and tell the customer its all set and well be boxing it up in a few minutes. and she says oh well i want the number on the bottom of the receipt. and i'm like um what? and she says the number you know... on the bottom of the receipt....(all snotty) so i'm like there is no number on the bottom receipt m'am. so she says well i want a number. and i'm like uhhh you mean... the transaction number? (just wildly guessing) and she says yeah. so i say, yeah thats at the TOP of the receipt. *seethes in anger* so i tell her. and then she says i also want the number underneath the barcode. and i said the really long one right and she says yes so i tell her that too. (????) what a bitch, what you think i overcharged you or something... you are getting the fucking receipt in the mail. stupid ass. so anyway i say okay you're all set have a nice day and she says... no lie... yeah bye. not a you too or a fucking thank you for searching for your shit and your pain in the ass omg shipping need by wednesday and your fucking coupon you mention at the END of me putting in your info and not even being in a store...
for AN HOUR AND 20 MINUTES.
rwar.
i wish someone would explain to me why you would wait til a sunday to order things by mail... you need by wednesday.
urgh.
and then my register was being a douche later in the day...
saying the "customer terminal could not be something" and i was like whaaat? and so i'm not stupid so i thought maybe customer terminal meant the credit card swipe thing... but it seemed fine and i had only hit "total" so that didnt make sense. so i hit retry... came up again, tried again, error came up again. so i ask tim to come over and hes like uhh... and hits it. lol. that sure helped. so he hit continue without it and it seemed okay... but my touch screen didnt work. lol. i dont know why that would be called customer terminal though? so that was fucking annoying because i kept trying to use touch screen being so used to it.... but then i went on break like 10 minutes later. i came back and it did it twice more... but then it stopped and my screen worked again. it was weird.
then about an hour later... some lady used a credit card. and she signed the credit card swipe thing and hit accept signature. so when she hits that button, the signature is supposed to be sent to my screen so i can touch "yes" to make sure it matches the signature on the card... but so she hits it... and nothing happens.... lol. so i wait like 30 seconds... still nothing. rwar. so i say over the walkie i think my register is frozen.. it was acting up earlier. so tim comes again and looks at it for like a minute and then hits "next" and it immediately comes up.... ok what? you never had to hit next before.... you never even had the option to, it was like grayed out. so... that was odd. but it worked... the next customer came up and used a credit card and you had to hit next for that to.... maybe they were changing that... and thats why my register was being weird before. but i dunno. after that everone was using debit so i didnt have to think about it and i finally went fucking home.
